Background

In 1903 Edward Pitcher started a building company in Dorset. He founded the business on simple values; good quality work at fair and honest prices.

More than 100 years on the business still holds true to these values.

Edward passed the business to his son, Cyril George Pitcher. In the early 1960's he was joined by son Graham and the name of C G Pitcher & Son was born.

In 2006 Graham's son Mark became the fourth generation to join the business, continuing the family tradition and up-holding the values of his great grandfather.

C G Pitcher & Son Ltd are still based in Dorset but now work nationally, undertaking all forms of construction from day-to-day maintenance to major construction projects.

Company Structure

The life blood of the company is our in-house directly employed minor works teams who carry out works from day-to-day maintenance to larger general repairs.

Part of our minor works team is out specialist DDA department that carries out a variety of disabled adaption works for both local authorities and domestic clients.

Our Special Projects Team use our decidated in-house labour to carry out works up to value of £500,000. The highest level of quality, service and value is provided and we secure most work by recommendation.

Our contractor teams are experienced in construction on projects up to £2 million. These include works for commercial, education and domestic clients. Projects are run collaboratively to ensure the highest degree of customer satisfaction and product quality.

C G Pitcher & Son Ltd are extremely proud to be awarded The Dorset Family Business of the Year Award 2007. The award from The Dorset Chamber of Commerce recognised the achievements of C G Pitcher & Son Ltd in areas such as excellence in customer service, staff training and business development.
